Opowieść o chłopaku z biednej dzielnicy, który trafia do bogatego domu w najbogatszej dzielnicy Kalifornii – Orange County. Próbuje odnaleźć się w nowym środowisku i poznaje życie ludzi, którym nigdy nic nie brakowało, a mimo to nie są do końca szczęśliwi. Wplątuje się w intrygi, które przeprowadzają jego sąsiedzi i rodzina. Spotyka też na swojej drodze dziewczynę, która często wpada w kłopoty.
